I'm a teacher with 10+ years of experience and was an educator at the Kennedy Space Center. I turn fishing trips into a fun, hands-on adventure. From identifying fish to understanding weather and the environment, I guide kids step by step, answering all their questions—especially the wildly creative ones.

I've been fishing in the Atlantic Ocean for over 23 years (thanks, Dad!), and I'm passionate about sharing that love with young anglers.

At Cocoa Beach Kids Fishing, I combine teaching kids and saltwater fishing to create a fun, family-friendly experience for ages 4–16—right on Cocoa Beach. It’s a perfect activity for cruise days or hotel stays, with no boat required.

Kids learn about tides, weather, and ocean conditions while experiencing the patience, excitement, and joy of fishing along Cocoa Beach’s beautiful shoreline.

🎣 What age is appropriate for kids fishing trips? ▼

Cocoa Beach fishing trips are perfect for ages 4 to 16. I've even had a 4 year old reel in a shark! Younger kids (5-8) get extra assistance and patience, while older kids can learn more advanced techniques.

🎒 Do I need to bring anything? ▼

I bring everything we need to fish. I recommend that you bring comfort items like sunscreen, any snacks, hats, chairs, sunglasses, water, towels, and maybe an extra pair of clothes for the kids.

🌊 Is it safe for kids who can't swim? ▼

I love beach fishing because we don't have to leave land! Children can play in the surf without going deep because I handle all of the casting and wading out deeper.

🎫 Do I need a fishing license for my child? ▼

Great news! Kids under 16 do not need a fishing license in Florida.
